The Department Board assists the Director in carrying out their duties and exercises the functions delegated to it by the Department Council.
The Board is composed of the Director, who presides over it, the Vice Director, with consultative voting in the presence of the Director, and a number of members not exceeding one-fifth of the members of the Department Council. Board members serve a term of three years with simultaneous renewal.
Ideally, the Board is composed of three Full Professors, three Associate Professors, and three Researchers, each elected from their respective categories.
Additionally, the Board includes:
- Section Coordinators with consultative voting;
- The Administrative Secretary with consultative voting and functions as the recording secretary;
- Representatives of Technical Administrative Personnel, with consultative voting, when discussing matters concerning said personnel.
